Course Overview

This class provides students with an overview 2D animation for the screen, using traditional techniques as a basis for animating in Adobe Flash CS3.

Required supplies:

  1. A way to save your work, i.e. a zip, jump drive, ipod, online storage system and/or a CD RW or DVD RW
  2. Reference Text:   (It is not required to purchase this text, but we will be using it as a source for class material.)   Foundation Flash CS3 for Designers.   Tom Green and David Stiller ISBN - 10: 1-59059-861-X

Grading Policies - 100 Total class points

Assignments and Tests

Quizzes x 2 at 10 points each = 20

Banner Ad Exercise = 10

Mobile Phone Exercise = 10

Interface Exercise = 10

Midterm = 25

Final   = 25

Computer Lab Access:

Assignments are to be worked on during the scheduled lab times. You may work outside of class on a computer with the necessary software.   You will also have access to Batmale Lab, please ask instructor about logon information.

Dropping Classes:

If you stop attending class, please remember to officially drop the class. It is your responsibility to DROP. If you simply stop attending, you may receive a grade of "F". You may drop per telephone or in person and you do not need the instructor's permission to drop.
